Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn Prepares for Annual Maintenance

The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn will be closed to the public from Monday, September 3rd through Monday, September 10th for its annual maintenance week.

By closing the museum for one week, multiple day projects can be addressed such as refinishing the floors including by the sand table, water table and in the art room. Additionally, tasks such as thorough exhibit cleaning, painting and carpet cleaning are completed. Worn exhibit pieces are repaired or replaced as well.

Administrative offices and phone lines will remain open for any questions, bookings or membership purchases during this time. The museum will reopen to the public on Tuesday, September 11th at 9:00 a.m. for members and 9:30 a.m. for non-members.
