OAK LAWN, IL—The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn is turning up the excitement with the launch of its new Queen of Hearts Raffle, giving supporters a fun new way to help the museum while taking a chance at a growing jackpot.
The first drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at PD’s Place, 5407 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn, kicking off what is expected to become a weekly tradition filled with suspense, community spirit, and the possibility of a big win. The jackpot currently stands at $3,070 and growing.
“This is more than a raffle,” said Adam Woodworth, executive director of the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn. “It is a fun way for the community to come together, support the museum, and maybe walk away with a prize that keeps growing each week. The Queen of Hearts Raffle is simple. Participants purchase tickets and select a number from the raffle board when they fill out their ticket. Each week, one ticket is drawn. The number written on that ticket determines which space on the board is revealed. If the Queen of Hearts is behind that number, the winner takes home the jackpot prize according to the official raffle rules. If another card is revealed, the game continues and the excitement builds for the next drawing as the jackpot builds.
Drawings will be broadcast live on the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn’s Facebook page at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday. If the queen of hearts is revealed, the winner splits the jackpot 50-50 with the museum if present at PD’s Place or 40-60 with the museum if not present.
