Children's Museum Offers Discount Admission February Fridays

OAK LAWN, IL -- Fridays are fun days at the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn. The south suburbs’ number one field-trip destination is offering “$5 after 5” on Fridays throughout the month of February. This means if you come to the museum after 5 p.m., you pay just $5 per person. There are interesting environments to explore designed especially designed for kids. And, they might learn something, too.

“If you haven’t visited the museum before, this is a great opportunity to check it out,” said Adam Woodworth, the museum’s executive director. “And, if you have been here before, it’s a nice discount for a Friday evening visit.”

The "$5 after 5" discount admission is being offered Friday Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23. Kids can check up on animals in the Safe Haven Animal Shelter, put on a costume and act in their own play in the Dream a Dream Theater, learn about gravity in the Air Maze or climb a tremendous tree house. The museum is open on Fridays until 8 p.m. giving your kids plenty of time to play and learn.

The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn is located at 5100 Museum Drive. Free parking is available on the fifith floor of the Metra Parking Garage. Visitors may park in any numbered spot or any permit only spot. You will not be ticketed.
