Classic Cars, Concert Cap Off Holiday Weekend

There is still some fun left in the long Independence Day weekend.

Finish off the holiday weekend by perusing some classic cars at the Oak Lawn Classic Car Show happening from 11 a.n. to 4 p.m. Sunday (July 7) on the Village Green east of the library at Cook and Dumke.

Then come back in the evening for Summer Concerts on the Green and get your 1950s greaser fix with the Meteors, Chicago's premiere rock and roll oldies band. The Meteors are a veritable encyclopedia of classic oldies with a playlist sporting the Beatles, Dave Clark 5, the Animals, Buckinghams, Kinks, Doors and Cryan' Shames, to name a few.

The Meteors play from 7 to 9:30 p.m. tonight (Sunday) and the concert is FREE, so bring your families, blankets, chairs and refreshments and be "glad all over."
