Community Meeting Planned Monday For Dog Park Improvements
Oak Lawn Parks seeks residents' feedback on plans to update Bailey's Crossing dog park Monday, Nov. 15, at the Oak View Center.

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Park District has scheduled a community meeting on Monday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. to discuss improvements to Bailey's Crossing Dog Park, 9910 S. Melvina Ave. The park district is gathering input from residents and dog owners on ways to improve the dog park.
The meeting will be held in the board room at the Oak View Center, 4625 W. 110th St.. Representatives from Upland Design Ltd. and Oak Lawn Park District staff will discuss park structure, layout, and other improvement suggestions.
Bailey's Crossing Dog Park, which opened in 2011, consists of 1.63 acres of fenced-in, open space with a separate fenced-in area for smaller dogs. This beautiful wooded park has a water fountain for dogs and their people, as well as a central sitting area with flower beds, benches, and artificial fire hydrants.

Memberships are available for purchase at the Oak View Center facility. Membership is conditional upon proof of dog's medical records and agreement to follow park rules.
