Contest Play from Richards advances to state
Bulldogs hunting back-to-back state championships!
Both competitive drama productions from Richards High School this weekend placed second at the Illinois High School Association Sectional to advance next weekend to the state finals in Sterling.
Mike Badger, Jon Nebor, Claudia Baranowski, Liz Kritikos, and Rick Keeley serve as directors for the Contest Play production of "When We Were Young and Unafraid." The Richards production tied for first place but slid to second based on the Judges Preference tie breaker.
All three cast members Lexie Nieminski, Mary Gacek, and ChaBria Riley earned All-Sectional Cast honors. Mary Gacek, Jaylen Johnson, and Shawn Mallo won All-Sectional Sound honors and Damian Rzeszutek, Jose Luna-Oviedo, and Sofia Falcon won for All-Sectional Lighting.
