Cop Swallows Saliva After Arrestee Spits In His Face: Prosecutor
Judge orders Worth man to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases after he allegedly spat in cop's face.

WORTH, IL -- A Worth man arrested on a domestic battery charge spit in a police officer’s face and he was being loaded into a squad car, prosecutors said. Robert Moore, 37, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a felony charge of battery to a police officer.
The prosecutor said Worth police went to the 6500 block of West 111th Street on Oct. 16 on a disturbance call, where Moore was arrested for domestic battery. As the police officer opened the door to the squad car, Moore allegedly disobeyed orders and spit in the officer’s face. The prosecutor said the officer ingested an unknown amount of saliva.
Moore was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he allegedly refused to submit to a blood draw. The prosecutor said that Moore served four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a residential burglary out of Cook County. He was also arrested for driving without a license in Indiana, where the prosecutor said Moore was in a crash involving a death. The prosecutor did not know the outcome of the case.
