Cops Find Cash, Cocaine and a Revolver in 'Erratic' Driver's Car: Prosecutor
Judge says man is 'danger to the community,' sets bail at $300,000.

SUMMIT, IL -- An erratic driver was arrested after police found cash, cocaine and a revolver in a cup holder during a traffic stop early Sunday morning, prosecutors said in court.
Oscar Urquizo, 34, was charged with two Class X felonies, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to delivery and driving under the influence. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
The prosecutor said that Summit police stopped Urquizo for erratic driving around 3:53 a.m. March 19, near 59th Street and Harlem Avenue. According to police, Urquizo’s speech was slurred. He refused to take a breathalyzer test, but he admitted that he had been drinking.

During a search of Urquizo’s vehicle, the prosecutor said police found 39 grams of cocaine and a .38 revolver with the handle wrapped with tape sticking out of the cup holder. The gun was not loaded.
Police also found $1,964 in cash, the prosecutor said.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Urquizo had custody of his three children. He is also a graduate of Reavis High School.
Urquizo has a conviction for DUI on 2004. He also has eleven arrests for driving on a suspended license, including six after his DUI conviction, including one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections. He received probation for a unlawful use of a weapon conviction in 2005, the prosecutor said.
“On top of all that you throw a gun into the mix,” Judge Felice said. “I find him to be a danger to the community.”
Bail was set at $300,000. The judge also ordered electronic home monitoring should Urquizo bond out. Urquizo is due back in court April 10 in Bridgeview.
