Cops Find Metal Knuckles in Center Console
Suspended license prompts traffic stop where metal knuckles are found in center console, police said.

Oak Lawn police found a pair of brass knuckles during a traffic stop for a Chicago man who was driving on a suspended license, reports said.
Plain clothes officers observed a car traveling westbound on 87th Street from Cicero Avenue and saw that the driver matched the description of the registered owner, whose license was licence was suspended, police said.
According to the report, when the driver was pulled over, he told police he didn’t have his ID on him and gave a fake name.

When police checked the photo of the registered owner through the Illinois Secretary of State database, the fake name did not match up. Police identified the driver as the owner of vehicle as 26-year-old Hadi R. Sulieman, reports said.
Police asked Sulieman to step out of the vehicle, who was charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly giving a fake name. During a search of Sulieman’s vehicle, officers found a metal knuckle weapon in the center console, police said.

Sulieman was also charged with driving on a suspended license and unlawful use of a weapon. He is due in court on Feb. 23.
