COUNTRY Financial Representative Helps Evergreen Park Fight Cancer

Residents of Evergreen Park and surrounding suburbs can donate to cancer research without opening their wallets. Lauren Barrett, a COUNTRY Financial Representative, is offering a coupon program to raise money for the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life.

Barrett will donate $10 to the ACS for each person who brings in a completed coupon and schedules a free insurance and financial review. No purchase is necessary, and coupons are available at her Evergreen Park office at 3923 W. 95th St, or by calling (708) 425-0551.

“These coupons are a simple way for community members to support our local relay,” Barrett says. ”Every contribution to our fundraising event, no matter how big or small, demonstrates our unity in the fight against cancer.”

“This is a community event,” adds Barrett. ”You don’t need to be on a relay team or raise thousands of dollars to be there. You can show your support just by showing up.”

Last year, Evergreen Park and surrounding suburbs residents raised more than $25,000 for the ACS. Organizers hope to raise $34,000 this year. The American Cancer Society named COUNTRY to the National Corporate Team Program, making the insurance and financial services provider one of the 52 top companies to make such a large commitment to Relay for Life.
