An Oak Lawn resident named Mike sent a video of the chopper as it came swooping over Austin Avenue:
“I literally thought I was about to witness a helicopter crash that's how fast it came out of the sky,” Mike recounted.
“I was driving down Austin and I hear the loud chopper sound and suddenly see the CPD chopper going lower and lower by the second then it disappeared and I expected to see a plume of smoke and fire. It’s definitely not something you see every day.”
