Creepy Guy Grabs 11-Year-Old Girl in Oak Lawn Park: Cops
The man told a young girl he needed help finding a lost ball in Memorial Park, Oak Lawn cops say.

Oak Lawn, IL — A man pretending to need help searching for a lost ball grabbed a child in an Oak Lawn park early Wednesday evening, police said.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. at Memorial Park in the 5700 block of 102nd Street in Oak Lawn. Police are investigating the incident as a battery.

Police said that an 11-year-old girl was approached by a Hispanic male believed to be around 30 years old, with facial acne and a dark mole on the left side of his face near his nose.
The man asked the girl to help him find a ball in an empty section of the park. While walking with the young girl, the man wrapped his arms around her from behind, police said. Police said the man pressed his body against her.

The girl was able to pull away from the man and he left the area.
Police are also asking parents to remind their children about stranger-danger strategies and to immediately call 911 if they see suspicious persons, activities or vehicles near parks and schools.
