'Creepy Stranger' Stares At Fitness Center Members

OAK LAWN, IL -- Members of a local fitness center filed a complaint of a stranger staring at them creepily while they worked out, according to an Oak Lawn police report said.

The fitness center members told police they were at Planet Fitness, 9503 S. Cicero Ave. Around 1:20 Feb. 1, the two members were using the fitness equipment when they noticed an older white male staring at them. The man stared at them for 20 minutes but was not working out. He continued staring at the members until they asked if he needed anything, reports said. The man responded “no.”

The members reported the incident to fitness center staff. Oak Lawn police contacted the manager, who stated that there have been several complaints about the man staring at other members. The members did not want to file a complaint but reported the incident as a matter of record.

According to police, the man in question is on parole for aggravated battery and attempted murder of a senior citizen.
