Customer Gets Spitting Mad Over Cost of McDonald's Hamburger

A drive-thru customer who didn’t like McDonald’s 2-hamburgers-for-$2 deal became upset when she was informed single burger cost $1.59, reports said.

The manager told police that a woman with painted-on eyebrows driving a silver Dodge Charger, pulled up in the restaurant’s drive-through lane at 9128 S. Cicero Ave. around 5:20 p.m. Dec. 30.

When employees informed her she could get two hamburgers for $2, the customer responded that she only wanted one hamburger.

Police said the customer became irate when told that a single hamburger would cost $1.59. The customer parked her car and entered McDonald’s.

She was met at the counter by the manager, who told her to leave. The customer continued to yell racial slurs at the workers behind the counter, reports said.

After the manager again told her that she had to leave, police said the customer tried numerous times to spit on the manager. She eventually spat in his face.

The customer left the restaurant, heading southbound on Cicero Avenue, reports said.

The manager wishes to press charges. Employees were able to provide police with the customer’s license plate number.
