Customer Upset About Steak Charged With Disorderly Conduct: Cops
Police said the customer didn't like how her steak was cooked and caused a ruckus at TGI Friday's.
OAK LAWN, IL — Police say a customer yelled and swore at restaurant staff because her steak wasn't cooked right. Tasheenma Teresa Bray, 26, of Chicago, was charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Around 9 p.m. Jan. 16, Oak Lawn police responded to a disturbance call at TGI Friday's, 5420 W. 95th St. According to the police report, the manager said the customer, later identified as Bray, complained that her steak was not prepared the way she requested. The server advised Bray that the kitchen could cook another steak.
Bray became angry when the second steak was brought to her table and didn't want it anymore because it took too long, police reports said. Bray is said to have demanded the steak be removed from her bill. She continued discussing the bill with the Oak Lawn police officer, when Bray began to record the exchange with her phone, police reports said.

The officer told that she had to pay for the food she ordered. Bray started yelling and swearing at the restaurant staff. The manager told Bray that her conduct was now inappropriate, and she was disturbing the guests.
Bray allegedly pushed the officer's hand away. The report said other officers arrived, and they physically picked Bray up from the booth. Her hands were forcibly handcuffed, and she was escorted out of the restaurant, police said.
