On March 7, Lyalee Barakat, Vanessa Vana, and Jenna Weiland from Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School participated in the ‘You Be the Chemist’ competition held at Moraine Valley Community College.
Students were tested on their knowledge of chemistry and competed in several rounds of competition. The event was organized by the Chemical Education Foundation and sponsored by the Chicago Drug and Chemical Association.
