D218 Board honors Eisenhower marching band

Best in Class at 14 of 16 competitions in 2017 & 2018

The District 218 Board of Education last night honored band director Dr. Justin Antos and Cardinal Regiment for their many achievements during the recently concluded marching season.

The Eisenhower marching band participated in eight contests, winning Best in Class six times. Over the past two seasons Cardinal Regiment has captured Best in Class at 14 of the 16 competitions it has entered.

Season highlights from this fall include Stagg High School Jamboree, first place in Class A, caption awards for Best Auxiliary, Best Percussion, and Best Visuals; Grayslake North HS Knights Marching Tournament, first place in Class A, caption award for Best Percussion.

Also, Victor J. Andrew HS Marching Invitational, first place in Class A, caption award for Best General Effect; Plainfield South HS Marching Band Invitational, first place in Class A, caption awards for Best Auxiliary and Best Percussion; Romeoville HS Marching Festival, second place in Class A.

Also, Robert Morris University Marching Invitational, first place in Class A, caption awards for Best Music, Best Visuals, Best Auxiliary, Best Percussion; Lincoln-Way Invitational, second place in Class A, caption award for Best Percussion; and, Sandwich HS MusicFest, 1st Place in Class A, caption awards for Best Music, Best Percussion, Best Drum Major.
