Dennis DeYoung & Jim Peterik at Star Plaza Theatre

For local classic rock legends Dennis DeYoung and Jim Peterik, commuting to work wasn't a tough task over the weekend. The two south-suburban residents stayed close to home for their show together at the Star Plaza Theatre in nearby Merrillville, IN on Saturday night.

Jim Peterik, co-founder of the bands Survivor and The Ides of March, was born in Berwyn and still resides in the area near Dennis DeYoung, the original voice of Styx.

Both Peterik and DeYoung began their careers here in the Chicago area, proving themselves successful year after year and one Billboard hit after another.
