Update, 2:19 p.m. -- A man who apparently barricaded himself inside an apartment building in the 4100
block of West 98th Street has surrendered to police.

Original story -- Oak Lawn police are telling residents to remain in their homes due to a barricaded subject inside a residence.
Police responded to a well-being check late Monday morning in the 4100 block of West 98th Street. A perimeter has been set up around the residence due to weapons possibly being in the home.

The Cook County SERT SWAT team has been called to a command post to assist in the situation.
Please avoid the area from 97th to 99th streets, and Pulaski to Keeler, per Oak Lawn Emergency Management Agency.
The situation is believed to be domestic in nature.
If you live in this area, please remain in your homes. Stay away from the windows and stand by for further information. An Everbridge message is being sent to residents in the area.
