Diner Knocked Unconscious In Social Distancing Scuffle: Police
Burbank police ask for public's help in identifying a man who allegedly knocked a diner unconscious at Two Volcanos Seafood Boil Buffet.
BURBANK, IL — A patron at a Burbank restaurant allegedly knocked another diner unconscious during a social distancing scuffle. Police have released surveillance images asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be involved in the smack down.
Around 2:30 p.m. Aug. 30, a man accompanied by a woman and six children entered Two Volcanos Seafood Boil Buffet, 4817 W. 77th St., Burbank. While dining, police said the man and another diner got into an argument about social distancing. Police said the man punched the diner in the head, knocking him unconscious to the floor. The injured diner was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Hospital in critical condition, but has since been released.
The man is described as Hispanic, in his mid-twenties to mid-thirties, with a medium build. Burbank police said he came into the restaurant with a woman and six children. He is believed to be driving a newer model Chevy Tahoe, included in the photo array.
