Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured At Bridgeview Pool Hall
A group of men playing pool at Cue Balls was followed out by another group before gunfire was exchanged, Bridgeview police say.
BRIDGEVIEW, IL — One man was fatally shot and another man injured by gunfire early Saturday morning shooting at a Bridgeview pool hall, police said.
According to preliminary reports, around 2:11 a.m., a group of men were playing pool at Cue Balls, 7735 S. Harlem Ave. A second group of men walked into the establishment.
“When the first group tied to leave they were followed into the parking lot by the second group when an argument ensued,” Bridgeview Polce Chief Riccardo Mancha told Patch. “A member of the second group brandished a handgun, then a member of the first group retrieved his handgun from his car and there was an exchange of gunfire.”

The man with second group was shot multiple times where arriving officers found him on the ground riddled with bullets. He was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced deceased at 2:42 a.m.
The man in the first group who retrieved his gun from his car was shot once in the torso. Police said he ran about 50 yards before collapsing on the ground. He is also said to have a valid CCL. He, too, was transported to Advocate Christ in critical but stable condition.

Several nearby police departments to assist Bridgeview police with crowd control to keep people from jumping on the bodies and contaminating the crime scene, a police spokesperson told Patch.
The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is invetigating.
