Doughs Guys Bakery Coming Soon to Oak Lawn Library
Popular bakery to bring fresh-baked goods to library cafe, including its famous maple bacon long johns.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn library patrons will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth with the arrival of a new local bakery that will be offering fresh baked products made from scratch. Palos Heights-based Doughs Guys Bakery plans to open a satellite location at the library on Nov. 1.
Doughs Guys, which portends to remove more buns from the oven than the maternity ward at Christ Hospital, has cultivated a loyal following of “Dough Heads” from surrounding communities. The local bakers and cake decorators pride themselves on not being another cookie-cutter, corporate bakery. All of the products are made fresh daily, using the bakery’s own secret recipes.
The Palos Heights flagship store at 12248 S. Harlem Ave. is a full service bakery, offering custom-made cakes, including wedding, gift baskets, fresh baked bread and more. Doughs Guys also operates satellites in the Orland Park, Oak Forest and Palos Park train stations. The Oak Lawn Library cafe, which has gone through many incarnations, is likely to benefit from Doughs Guys successful train station business model.
