Effort To Help Pay For Kara McNicholas' Wake And Funeral Begins
Donations are sought to help the family of Kara McNicholas, who was found dead last week after she was reported missing from Mt. Greenwood.

CHICAGO, IL - The cousin of Kara McNicholas, the 18-year-old Mount Greenwood-area woman who was found dead in a Chicago Lawn backyard after going missing last Thursday night, has set up a GoFundMe account to allow others to help pay for the expenses related to the wake and funeral for the young woman.
Kylie McNicholas was the first to publicly confirm the death of Kara, who police say was last seen alive near 111th and Central Park on the night of May 10. The next morning, Kara McNicholas' deceased body was found in the 6100 block of South Maplewood Avenue.

Kara's car, a silver 2014 Kia Sorento with Illinois license plate #AC54906, still has not been found according to Kylie.
"We need to bring justice to Kara," Kylie said.
Kara was a Reavis High School alum and worked at Bria Healthcare in Palos Hills. Since she did not have life insurance, the costs of the funeral lie solely on her family.
"Any amount would be helpful," Kylie said.
Kara will be remembered on Thursday, May 17 with a wake from 3-9 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funderal Home & Crematorium at 7861 S. 88th Ave. in Justice. A visitation will continue the following morning from 7:30-8:30 a.m., with a procession planned before a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Gerald's Church in Oak Lawn.
