Parades typically celebrate or commemorate historic events, sports championships, or national holidays. Marching bands often play a role, providing the soundtrack and visual dynamics other groups simply do not have.
Sometimes, though, a band can become the reason for a parade.
That happened this week. Eisenhower High School toasted Cardinal Regiment, which won Best in Class at all eight contests this fall, with a parade that rolled through the hallways:
