OAK LAWN, IL — Senior Ella Hennessey is taking over as the leader of the Oak Lawn Community High School girls swim team. She is helping teammates bond, she is bringing them closer to one another, and she even continues to improve her times in the pool.

In fact, Hennessey has improved her times in the 500 freestyle, the 100 backstroke, and the 50 freestyle. But her leadership is truly setting her apart.

“Ella has been a leader for her team throughout the beginning of the season,” OLCHS head coach Alexandra Woehlert said. “She is teaching the team how to support one another in and out of the water. She has also been taking charge of having the team bond and become closer.
