Entenmann's Bakery Outlet In Oak Lawn Closing After 45 Years
The longtime bakery outlet at 108th and Cicero will be fully stocked until it closes on Aug. 24.

OAK LAWN, IL — A little more than a week remains for the Entenmann's Bakery Outlet in Oak Lawn. The location at 10802 S. Cicero Ave. has served the area for 45 years, a store employee said. It will close permanently a week from Saturday. The outlet is the only remaining bakery thrift shop in the area.
A sign on the front window of the business says that the final day will be Friday, Aug 23. But the employee and a loyal customer have both said the outlet will be open the following day — Saturday, Aug. 24 — as well. A post in the "Scottsdale Area Chicago Survivors" Facebook group also included several comments from people who said they too have been told the bakery outlet is closing before the end of the month.
Popular outlet store items such as bread, coffee cake, bagels and other sweets will continue to come in fresh until the day the store closes.
