Eva's International Hosts Weekend 'Affordable Couture' Trunk Show

ORLAND PARK, IL -- If you’re planning a wedding and have always dreamed of wearing a couture bridal gown but it’s not in your budget, an Orland Park bridal salon is hosting an affordable couture show this weekend.

Eva’s International in Orland Park, is featuring a Calla Blanche trunk show through Sunday, May 8.

“This collection is the hottest thing in bridal,” salon owner Chad Ghusein said. “If a bride ever dreamed of wearing one of the Israeli Couture wedding dresses by Berta, Galia Lahav or Reem Acra and it’s not in her budget, she should come see these dresses.”

Based in Toronto, Ont., Calla Blanche is takes a fashion-foward approach to designing gowns fro brides looking for something unique that matches her own individual style.

Her collection is known for its use of bold colors, diverse textures, fabrics and textiles. Many of her gowns incorporate daring necklines, elaborate tops and silohuettes offering high-fashion designs at affordable prices. Calla Blanche is considered one of the hottest up and coming bridal designers.

The look of her gowns is very similar to Israeli Couture, which start at $5,000 and up. Calle Blanche affordable couture is priced between $2,000 and $3,000. This weekend, Eva’s International is offering 20 percent off at the trunk show. Some restricitions may apply.

The Ghusein family has been in the bridal business since 1964. Jordanian immigrant Eva Sweis was a seamstress and was handed the keys to a Chicago bridal salon when her boss ran out on the rent. The rest is history. Grandson Chad Ghusein is the third-generation owner.

At 15,000 square feet, Eva’s International is the largest bridal salon in the Midwest and carries over 2,000 wedding gowns, as well as bridesmaid and mother of the bride/groom dresses.

In addition to the Orland Park location, the Ghusein family owns Eva's Bridal of Oak Lawn, 5769 W. 95th St.

The salon is accepting appointments for Calla Blanche trunk show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satuday; and Sunday, Mother’s Day, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
