Oak Lawn police backed up the FBI in executing a search warrant late Friday afternoon in residential area.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn police backed up the FBI late Friday afternoon as federal agents executing a search warrant at a residence, looking for a suspect, a village official said.

Police blocked off the area around a home in the 9700 block of South Normandy while law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant for possible weapons. The search was conducted and no weapons were found, Oak Lawn Police Chief Michael Murray said in an email.

The house was deemed uninhabitable and secured. Later Friday police were called back for a report of people trying to get back into the house. Police went back and searched the residence, requesting K9 assistance in the search for a suspect or suspects.
