Ferrara Candy Hosts Hiring Fair

NORTH RIVERSIDE, IL -- Ferrara Candy, the fine maker of Chuckles, Lemonheads, Boston Baked Beans and Jujyfruits, is hosting a hiring event on Wednesday, March 28. The company is hiring packaging machine operators, mogul operators, maintenance mechanics and quality control technicians. Positions are available for second and third shifts only; if hired, the job will be located in Bellwood.

Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of six months’ machine operation or cooking/food compounding experience, preferably in the food industry or with a pharmaceutical, plastics or packing manufacturer. Ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and experienced in GMPs, changeovers and packaging equipment.
• For mechanics: 3-plus years of proven experience in maintenance and repair of food manufacturing or packing equipment preferred. Technical education and experience in electrical and PLC helpful.
• Quality control technicians: Six months experience in quality assurance in food or packaging environment.
