A sample of the beef steak tested positive for Listeria, but no sickness from the patties has been reported to the Food Safety and Inspection Service or to Kenosha Beef International, the USDA stated.

Listeria can cause an infection, primarily affecting older adults, people with a weak immune system, pregnant women and newborns. People at higher risk who show flu-like symptoms within two months of eating contaminated food should seek medical care.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Dennis Vignieri at (262) 859-2272.
