Food Truck Rollover Reported on Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview
The northbound lane at Harlem Avenue and 79th Street was shut down Tuesday afternoon. Police urge motorists to find alternative routes.
BRIDGEVIEW, IL — A food truck heading north on Harlem Avenue just before 79th Street has reportedly rolled over Tuesday afternoon. Bridgeview police had shut down the northbound lanes to traffic on Harlem Avenue.
Bridgeview officials estimate that it could take four or more hours to clean up the products that spilled when the truck rolled over around 2:30 p.m. Police now say that the accident happened at 7859 South Harlem Avenue.
East and west lanes on 79th Street and southbound lanes on Harlem remain open, although traffic is significantly delayed from all directions due to gapers block. Bridgeview police urge all motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes until the rollover is resolved.
