Freshman Day at Richards: Forward in the most important year
Video of teacher Adam Ziemba and Senior Leaders touring Richards with freshmen.
Freshman Day at Richards High School looked nothing like the first day of high school that most of us experienced. With great care, staff members made new students feel welcome.
And it’s not just a nice thing to do. This year, the first, sets the tone for the rest of high school. Researchers know that freshmen who start well tend to make success a habit throughout their four years.
On Freshman Day, students run through their academic schedules twice, get to know their teachers, meet with counselors, learn to work their lockers, and become familiar with the layout of Richards.
