Glock And Fraudulent Credit Cards Seized At Gas Station: Police
Oak Lawn cops arrest Chicago man on gun charges and suspicion of using fraudulent credit cards to pump gas.

OAK LAWN, IL -- A Chicago man was arrested on suspicion of credit card fraud and was also found to be carrying a Glock, prosecutors said. Malique Abron, 19, appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on felony charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and use of a counterfeit credit card. Abron also has an outstanding warrant for an unrelated charge in Will County.
On May 12, Oak Lawn police were called to a gas station on Cicero Avenue for a report of fraudulent credit cards possibly being used at the gas pumps. Officers said they found a loaded magazine in Abron’s pocket and a Glock underneath the driver’s seat that was immediately accessible to the backseat passenger. Abron was the lone backseat passenger, the prosecutor said. Five fraudulent credit cards were also found in the vehicle that had been used at a nearby business.
The judge set bail at $100,000 and sheriff’s electronic monitoring, should Abron make bond. Abron’s next court appearance is June 19 in Bridgeview.
