Harvest Moon to Support Oak Lawn Homeless Shelters

Proceeds Will Ensure People Experiencing Homelessness Have Safe Places to Stay This Winter

BEDS Plus Care will host its annual Harvest Moon event on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 from 2 – 6 PM at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. All proceeds will go to modernizing facilities at BEDS’ partner churches in Oak Lawn, which will ensure they can host emergency overnight homeless shelters and other programming this winter and beyond. The upgrades are estimated to run at least $30,000.

Harvest Moon will feature drinks, food, an auction, party rock band Reckless, and a very special surprise guest who you will not want to miss (follow BEDS’ website and Facebook to stay in the loop).

BEDS' last event raised double its goal for financial assistance programs to support individuals and families who have recently become homeless or are at imminent risk of homelessness. Harvest Moon will guarantee that people experiencing homelessness this winter have safe places to stay and connections to housing and necessary resources, like healthcare, social services, employment opportunities, and benefits programs. We look forward to seeing you there!
