'Hidden Hump' on Jet Bridge Trips Lawsuit
Lawsuit claims defendants failed to smooth out hump between jet bridge and plane fuselage, causing woman to fall.

A woman is suing over claims that she tripped over a “hidden hump” while boarding a flight at Midway International Airport in May 2014.
Elizabeth Norris names Southwest Airlines, Midway Airlines Terminal Consortium and the City of Chicago in a lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.
Norris was boarding a connecting flight to Orlando, FL, aboard Southwest Airlines on May 1, 2014. The lawsuit alleges that as she was walking through the jet bridge, she fell over a “hidden hump” connecting the bridge to the plane fuselage.

As a result of the fall the plaintiff says she was injured.
The complaint states that the defendants failed to smooth out the hump on the jet bridge for passengers boarding and disembarking the Southwest Airlines flight in Concourse A and B at Midway Airport.

The defendants also allegedly failed to warn passengers of the hump’s existence.
Norris is asking for $50,000 in damages. She is being represented by attorney Francis Patrick Murphy of Corboy and Demetrio LLC.
