Homicide Investigation Underway In Chicago Ridge

A 47-year-old man was found deceased in a Chicago Ridge home, a person of interest is in custody, police said.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found deceased in a single-family home in Chicago Ridge, police said.

Early Monday morning, Chicago Ridge police assisted with an ambulance call around 12:44 a.m. in the 6500 block of West 106th Place. A 47-year-old man was found deceased in the home. The death is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Detectives have identified a person of interest, and police said there is no threat to the community.

Police said there is no history of 911 calls for service since the family moved into the home in 2016. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
