“World…meet Sarah.” Dr. Sanders said on X. “This Oak Lawn HS student gave me this painting of “Sarah” in Arabic calligraphy when she learned that I am very close to someone with the same name. This was such a touching gift.”

Dr. Sanders’ visit reinforces Illinois’ commitment to advancing educational excellence and highlights the significance of multilingual programs in developing well-rounded, globally-conscious students.

“We are delighted to host Dr. Sanders and share the successes of our Arabic program,” said D229 Supt.
