Jewel TCF Bank Bandit Strikes Again in Burbank

FBI believe man who robbed a TCF bank branch in the Burbank Jewel is the same man who pulled off a similar heist in Oak Lawn on Oct. 10.

A man suspected of robbing a bank located inside an Oak Lawn supermarket earlier this month may have struck again in Burbank on Wednesday afternoon.

This time, it was the TCF bank branch located in Jewel-Osco at 7910 S. Cicero Ave. The FBI said that the alleged bandit entered the store around 2:51 p.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Security video captured a black male, approximately 6-feet-2-inches tall, over 200 pounds, wearing a black knit hat and black winter jacket. The man also has a beard.

No weapon was shown in what the FBI describes as a non-takeover robbery.

The suspect is believed to be the same man who allegedly robbed the TCF bank branch on Oct. 10 in the Jewel at 9424 S. Pulaski Road.

The FBI-run website BanditTrackerChicago shows a suspect dressed for warmer weather, wearing a black pullover, black hit, gold cross and sunglasses. Similar to Burbank, the man did not display a gun.

The Oak Lawn robbery also took place around the same time of day at 3:01 p.m. No one was hurt in both incidents.
