Joy in Childhood Foundation Brings Joy to Advocate Hospital
The Joy in Childhood Foundation and B96's J Niice brought joy to pediatric patients at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn last week.
The Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands, brought joy to pediatric patients at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn last week by presenting a $20,000 grant and a special delivery of Starlight Gowns.
The Joy in Childhood Foundation’s custom Starlight Gowns are high-quality, comfortable hospital gowns designed to look like fun and colorful superhero costumes, that kids can wear while undergoing treatment. During the event, Dunkin’ Donuts representatives and J Niice, B96-FM morning show personality, presented gowns to patients and served hot chocolate and donuts.
To date, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has distributed 10,000 Starlight Gowns to pediatric patients in hospitals across the country. The grant to Advocate Health Hospital is part of the Joy in Childhood Foundation’s $1.5 million commitment to Starlight Children’s Foundation.
