Justice Man Squeezed Fiance's Neck, Dangled Their Baby Over Balcony: Prosecutor
Prosecutor said after her fiance choked her, she ran outside to call police when he dangled their baby over the balcony.

JUSTICE, IL -- A Justice man squeezed his fiance’s neck and lifted her off the floor after they fought over her spending the evening with a co-worker, prosecutors said Friday in court. Alberto Redman, 28, was charged with aggravated domestic battery.
According to the charges, Redman and his fiance lived together in a Justice apartment with their baby and his fiance's daughter from another relationship. The prosecutor said Redman and his fiance argued about her going out with a coworker. The woman went out with her friend and came home around 4 a.m. May 18.
When she woke the next morning, the fiance claimed that Redman started “nitpicking” her. Redman allegedly rammed her into a closet, breaking the door. The fiance collected her older daughter and left the house. Redman would not let her take the couple's baby, the prosecutor said.

She later returned that afternoon to get the baby. The prosecutor said Redman blocked her way and banged his fiance’s head five times into a wall. He allegedly squeezed her neck and lifted her off the floor. She was able to get outside and call police. Before police arrived, the prosecutor said Redman dangled the baby over the balcony.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Redman was scheduled for a job interview later that afternoon at Mariano’s.
