Justice Sex Predator Skips Sex Offender Registration: ICE
The Justice man admitted to police that he knew he had to register but forgot, prosecutors said.

JUSTICE, IL — A convicted sex predator failed to maintain accurate records on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, prosecutors said. Abdelhamid Abdelnabi, 51, appeared before Cook County Judge Terry Gallagher on a felony charge of failure to register.
Abdelnabi was sentenced to 78 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections following Abdelnabi's 2013 conviction for sexually abusing a 9-year-old victim. The prosecutor said that Abdelnabi is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
According to the charges, Abdelnabi skipped his annual registration on Jan. 4. The Justice Police Department was contacted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which stated that Abdelnabi was required to register twice annually because he is not a U.S. citizen, the prosecutor said.
