SUMMIT, IL - A police presence will remain at Argo Community High School throughout the day Monday after threats were made against the school and a juvenile suspect arrested, Superintendent Dr. Jill Kingsfield told members of the school community.

Kingsfield said "precautionary measures" are being taken with the additional police presence outside the main entrance and Door 17. Students will have 55 minute classes and have no "Argo Hour" today as well.

The threats were made Sunday afternoon on social media and threatened violence against "every class" at the school, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.

The juvenile is being charged with a felony, according to the school. The suspect was in custody at the Summit Police Department at 5 a.m.

"School safety is and will continue to be our top priority," Kingsfield said. "We want to thank Police Chief Kosmowski and his team for their persistence and work with the FBI Taskforce in resolving this matter."
