Adams was eventually found hiding under a bush in the 10900 block of South Keating. While searching Adams, police found two bags of Alprazolam and a bag of cannabis, according to the charges.

Police were able to contact the wallet’s owner, who confirmed that it had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle in near her home in Worth.

Attorney Bob Olson said during Adams’ bond hearing on Wednesday that his client was walking down the street carrying his girlfriend’s wallet.

“I guess it didn’t match his shoes,” Olson said.

Cook County Judge Peter Felice set Adams’ bail at $10,000. The judge also ordered electronic home monitoring and random urine drops should Adams bond out.

Adams is due back in court on August 24.
