Lane Closures Start June 1 on Harlem Avenue-Cal Sag Bridge

Bridge will be reduced to one lane weekdays with flaggers, IDOT says.

Daily lane closures are set to begin June 1 on the bridge that carries Harlem Avenue (Illinois 43) over the Cal-Sag Channel in Palos Heights and Worth, weather permitting.

The closures are necessary to perform bridge repairs and bride painting. Traffic over the bridge will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, the Illinois Department of Transportation said,

Closure times will exclude the peak rush hours from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
