Level Up Your Lego-Building at Oak Lawn Library's Youth Department

On Sunday, October 6, the Oak Lawn Public Library - Youth Department hosted an exciting event for Lego enthusiasts of all ages! The event, titled "Windy City Lego User Group: Level Up Your Lego-Building," brought families together for an afternoon of creativity, learning, and fun.

Kris, Roger, and Chris, members of the Windy City Lego User Group (LUG), led the event and shared their passion for Lego building with the community. They kicked off the session by introducing various Lego terms, piece names, and building techniques, helping both kids and adults learn the basics and advanced skills needed to become master builders. The trio also showcased some of their favorite Lego creations, inspiring everyone with the incredible possibilities of this popular building toy.

After the introduction, it was time for the real fun to begin! Families got to dive into large tubs filled with Legos, letting their imaginations run wild as they created their very own masterpieces. At the end of the event, the kids proudly presented their creations to the guest speakers, receiving encouragement and praise for their hard work and creativity. It was a heartwarming sight to see the smiles on their faces as they showed off their Lego masterpieces.
