Lions Club of Oak Lawn helps induct new Leo Club members at Richards

The Lions Club of Oak Lawn recently helped induct a new group of students into Leo Club at Richards High School.

Founded by Len Pearson of the Lions Club of Oak Lawn, the Richards chapter became the first of its kind in Illinois in 1969. Leo Club, under the leadership of math teacher Karen Lavin, volunteers for a wide variety of community and school service projects.

Parents proudly placed membership pins on the new members, who include Yasmen Abughoush, Hana Abuzir, Annalisa Barajas, Grace Bikulcius, Dorcas Bodunde, Danna Butnariu, Amanda Dole, Vanessa Garcia, Isabella Garza, Kailey Goldsmith, Grace Herrera and Juliana Khoury.

Also, Salma Makhlouf, Milo Meyer, Shaquoia Mitchell, Shahd Mohsin, Ezekiel Munoz, Vanessa Orintas, Hailey Pitt, Isabel Ramirez, Karolina Rusnak, Kendall Ryan, Maya Shaheen, Amal Shehadeh, Kameran Turner, Bridget Walsh, and Meghan Wirtz.
