Diners Creeped Out by Staring Man: Prosecutor
He followed the diners to three different restaurants and watched them eat, prosecutor says.

Oak Lawn police arrested a man for staring at people while they were eating in a restaurant and then following them to two other restaurants, prosecutors said.
Scott Washack, 51, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
According to the charges, Washack was sitting a table on Sunday at Panera Bread, 10553 S Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn, and started at at three people as they were eating, which disturbed them.

Prosecutors said Washack followed the same three people to Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s. The three diners each signed a complaint against the man.
The assistant public defender told the judge Washack lives with his mother sometimes or in his van. He “does the best he can” and does not want government handouts.

Washack told the judge the diners made a mistake when they said he was staring at them.
“I can see one restaurant, but then you followed them to three restaurants,” Cook County Judge Peter Felice said. “That is strange in and of itself.”
Washack was released on an I-bond and given a Jan. 7, 2016, court date.
“Be careful how you act, Scott,” Judge Felice said. “Nobody wants to be bothered today.”
