Man Found Dead In Burbank Home Where Shots Were Fired Identified
Burbank police said the man they found deceased in a home where gunshots were fired has been identified as 48-year-old Thomas Ray.
BURBANK, IL — A man found dead inside a Burbank home earlier this week where officers heard gunshots being fired has been identified as 48-year-old Thomas Ray, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide by a single gunshot wound to the head.
Burbank police said Ray was identified as the person they observed Tuesday evening standing outside a residence at 5301 State Road. Gunshots were heard after police said Ray ran inside the house.
Officers entered the residence when they found two men wounded by gunfire. Ray was dead on the scene. The other man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Police believe Ray shot the man before turning the gun on himself. The shooting is being considered an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public, Burbank police said.
