Mariano's Readies for Tuesday Opening At 111th Street and Cicero Avenue

Mariano’s will throw open its doors at 6 a.m. Tuesday for a no-frills opening at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue.

The Oak Lawn Mariano’s was originally anticipated to open in early 2015, but construction of the new store was finished in record time.

“Once we got going we found ourselves ahead of schedule,” a developer and partner for Hamilton Partners in Itasca.

Mariano’s, part of the Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Inc. retail grocery group, is bringing 450 jobs to the local area, 50 of those Oak Lawn hires.

The Oak Lawn store is the 27th Mariano’s location in the Chicago area. Marino’s hours at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Phase I of Stony Creek Promenade is nearing completion. Construction is underway on the new Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant, which is projected to open in February 2015.
