OAK LAWN, IL — Marist High School senior Colin Bohanek signed his national letter of intent during a ceremony on Wednesday in the school’s RedHawk Theater. Bohanek, of Oak Lawn, confirmed his plans to continue his academic and football career at Eastern Illinois University.

The Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School graduate, Bohanek garnered 149 solo tackles, 177 assists, 35 tackles for loss, and 7.5 tackles as a linebacker during his three-year varsity run with Marist. Bohanek also played running back in short yardage situations and carried for crucial yards. He was named Defensive Co-Player of the Year by the combined East Suburban Catholic Conference and Chicago Catholic League.

While Bohanek boasts impressive stats, he was a critical leader on and off the field by being responsible, committed, and hardworking.
